I’m an experienced marketing and communications expert with 20 years in media and advertising covering TV, radio and print, from local family-run businesses to global corporations. I’ve learnt some tricks and truths about how messages stick.
My radio work is heard by a combined audience of 522,000 people (GfK survey 8, 2020) on Mix102.3 and Cruise 1323 in Adelaide alone. I also write for the iHeartRadio podcast and streaming network including global hits like Stuff You Should Know, Casefile and Christian O’Connell’s Stuff of Legends.
My corporate communications work has been used across Australia, and in Europe.
I write for impact to ensure the message is heard by the target audience. I listen and learn about your business, industry – and identify growth opportunities – to write and present your brand accurately and effectively.
I created the Work happy…get Keen positioner for Keen Office Furniture, converted a Bank of Queensland idea into a market launch worth over $1 million and have written radio vignettes short-listed for an Australian Commercial Radio Award.
My writing experience includes:
- Corporate websites and profiles
- Internal communications
- Grant applications
- Feature interviews
- Feature reviews
- Radio commercials
- Radio station imaging and promos
- Media releases
- On-hold messages
I was a contributing writer for dB Magazine from 2003-07, and have been published in The Advertiser, The Guardian, Beat, Drum, and Adelaide Hills Courier.
In my spare time I’m working on children’s books ideas and concepts – as a parent I’m passionate about reading to kids and love the moment you find a great book to read together and I’d love to share some of my own stories with other families.
I love words, language, sharing ideas and scratching the itch of curiosity.
I can help you with your business communications too. Contact me at wadehowland@internode.on.net
